Exciting first day of Volleyball

Today's Comments from  our Coach:

"The level of competition was exactly what we thought it would be and the teams we played were certainly more experienced but our girls competed and gave some good teams a real battle.  We were a little intimidated to start but settled down and did the things we are capable of doing.  Our goal is to get better at nationals and we took a good, strong, first step today."

In the gift exchange at the net before each game the girls shook hands and gave the other teams small bags of chokecherry jellybeans.  They received nail files, braided volleyball bracelets and pens today.

We planned on going to the beach this afternoon but didn't leave the Orlando Convention Center until  about 2:45 and it was drizzling so the girls wanted to go to a movie and back to the house to swim.  Paige and Michelle were the last two left in the pool before dinner.

Tomorrow the girls have breakfast at 5:30, in the car at 6:00 to be at the gym by 7:00.  They play at 8:00, sit, ref, play, play and sit.  Plans to head to Daytona Beach tomorrow afternoon.
